What is your current appointment?

I am a Visiting Scholar at Chicago-Kent College of Law, in Chicago, Illinois and have also founded my own company, Fashion by Felicia, LLC.

Which methodological tools did you acquire in IMT?

Interdisciplinarity, a deep knowledge of Italian cultural heritage law, and an ability to communicate effectively with archivists and more cultural heritage professionals who are not necessarily lawyers.

How did your experience in IMT shape your career?

My time at IMT offered me two main things: the ability to build a foundation of knowledge about Italian cultural property law in comparison to U.S. law, and the opportunity to network with fashion and luxury brands in Italy and in the United States. The foundation of knowledge is one I still use every day in my research, scholarship, and writing, and the contacts I built have opened opportunities for collaboration as part of my academic projects and business activities.

How did your experience in IMT shape your career?

At IMT I learned to look at cultural heritage and at museum objects in particular as bearers of layered meanings around which interests and drives, even conflicting ones, revolve. This critical gaze is essential to curators in a changing museum landscape.
